The best rodeos are the ones that run well. That is the result of hard work by the rodeo committee. Their efforts determine success or failure.

The 16 member Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Board was in the top 5 for "1997 and 1998 Large Outdoor Rodeo Committee of the Year". Voted in by Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association members, the Stampede Board's efforts were applauded by contestants and officials.

As the producer of the rodeo, the committee is in charge of every aspect of the event: hiring laborers, promoting and producing the ceremonies, and overseeing the entire event.

In 1997 the Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Rodeo won the "Best Big PRCA Rodeo in the Mountain States Rodeo Circuit". In 1993, the Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Rodeo won the "Most Improved Big PRCA Rodeo" in the Mountain States Rodeo Circuit. From 1994 through 1999, they received plaques for winning the "Best Big PRCA in the Mountain States Rodeo Circuit".

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association named the Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede as one of the top five for the last several years and in 1997 and 1998 they won the "Best Large Outdoor Rodeo Committee of the Year". Votes are cast by the top 100 contestants in each event, contract personnel and stock contractors.

Now in its 91st year, the Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Rodeo promises to be the biggest and best ever!
